Formula tires

The FIA has made many changes to the 2009 rules and regulations on formula racing this season. These changes have been made to both technical and sporting area of the formula 1 racing. The sporting regulations are aimed to increase the liability and also to reduce costs to the cars and other things. Technical regulations aim for not one, but thee goals. Reducing the role of aerodynamics in these cars is one of the technical aims. Another goal technical regulations are aiming for is making overtaking a whole lot easier for drivers. Keeping lap times in check is also one of the big three aimed for goals in the technical area. Formula 1 has been using grooved tires for the past 10 season for the better of aerodynamics.

But this season is different. For the 2009 season of this car racing they are returning to slicks. A slick tire is a special tire with no grooves. This is to better the mechanical than better the aerodynamic grip of the roads. With slick tires having no grooves it will increase better performance and grip by twenty percent performance. This will be an excellent effect on high speed corners. Just like before Bridgestone will pick four different types of dry tire compounds but only two will be picked for each race witch drivers will be able to pick of these however both compounds must be used during the race to play online games. The four compounds of the racing tires that Bridgestone has chosen are super soft, soft, medium, and hard. Only a green central grooved tire will be used for extreme wet weathers. These tires are called wets. But simply wet conditions tires will be used called intermediates. Overall this year will be the best one yet for drivers sport and technical wise.
