High Athlete

Formula one racers are in fact one of the most highly conditioned athletes in the world, believe it or not. Every formula one drivers must go through conditioning because of formula one racing is the only racing that requires a whole lot of stamina and endurance. A formula one racer has to be extremely strong in order to last a full race. With all of the extreme heat in the cockpit and the turning corners puts a lot of stress and strain on the human body. Just sweating alone a driver can loose up to three kilograms of their own body weight. Some drivers use specially designed rings to help them get the muscles they need, which are more of the chest and neck muscles. Other drivers do other work outs for cardio vascular training like swimming, bicycling, running, even rollerblading. Drivers need the special muscle power to with stand the corner turning forces.

The neck muscle is the most important, this muscle is used to hold the drivers body and head in place, not to mention the helmet on his or her head. Strong arm muscles are also very important as well. Doing endurance races for long periods of time can make your arms get weak from all the steering and corner taking. Therefore strong arm muscles will be more practical for this type of racing. Formula one racers must also pay attention to their diets and how much carbohydrates and protein they are taking in. Most drivers will be seen eating foods like pasta before races for lots of stamina and energy for the race. . Dehydration is very common in these races so drivers will drink plenty of water so they wont be thirsty or dehydrate during the race. Drivers take these things very seriously.
