Colorful signs

All formula one races use flags. All sorts of colors and signals to communicate with the driver. Flag can warn drivers or just give them quick heads ups. Cars now a days have GPS systems and they also put the flags color on a screen in the drivers seat to let him or her know when a flag is being shown. The checkered flag shows all the drivers in the race that the race is over and once the first person crosses the finish line, the flag is shown till the last car crosses. A single yellow flag is to warn a driver to slow down or be cautious but two yellow flags at the same time means they must slow down with caution and be prepared to stop if necessary. The green flag is to let drivers know the track is all clear and the yellow flag is no longer active. Red flags are a sign of stop or the session is over due to an accident or horrible weather conditions. That different flag colors can also be found in other meanings in games like Seafight or other online games that can be played online.

If you are about to be lapped a blue flag appears. Being lapped means if a car is beating you by the whole track and is about to pass you again. Yellow and red striped flag is to warn drivers about slippery roads such as oil and water on the course. A black flag with and orange circle lets a single driver know that there is something mechanically wrong with their vehicle and must return to their pit. A flag that is half black and half white is also to warn a single driver but to only aware them of bad sport behavior. Just a black flag indicates that the driver needs to return to his pit and most of the time means they’re out of the race. And last of all a white flag warns drivers of a slow moving car on the track to prevent any driver hitting the slow moving car.
